An alcohol and drug assessment is a face to face clinical interview with an ADSAC assessor certified by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) specifically for the purpose of reinstatement of driver’s license. The client will complete a few standard forms, take a self report test/questionnaire called a Drivers Risk Inventory (DRI-2). The assessment will take approximately 1.5 -2 hours. Once the assessment is complete a recommendation by the ADSAC assessor will be given to the client. These recommendations range from a 10 Hour ADSAC & Victim Impact Panel (VIP) to residential treatment. There will be an additional cost associated with having to complete these recommendations. You must follow the recommendations completed by the assessor and any additional requirements made by the Department of Public Safety (DPS) before a driver’s license will be reinstated. Upon completion of the recommendations the client will receive a completion certificate with a “RED STAMP” to present to DPS. You must met all the statutory requirements to be reinstated.
